Douglas E. Shuch, 50, of Marlborough died peacefully on December 24, 2016 at the Oak Knoll Health Care Center. He was the son of the late Harriet M. Shuch and Milton L. Shuch. Douglas had two families, his family of origin and his adopted family at the Liberty Street Group Home. Both loved him dearly and were loved in return. Although born with Down's Syndrome, he was blessed with kindness and happiness and an intuition that went beyond intelligence. He loved music, car rides, bowling, movies, pizza, and the color red. He will be missed by his sister Abby, his nieces Julia and Zoe and by all he knew. The care and attention he received at Liberty St., and GMPI was extraordinary. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday December 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
